Travel Documents

If you have lost your passport or it has expired and you need to travel to Panama, the Consulate can issue you a travel document, usually within two to three business days.

Note: According to new U.S. regulations, you must have a valid passport or a travel document to travel abroad.

Requirements:
• Signed letter of Request for a Travel Document. The letter must include the applicant’s e-mail address, mailing address, and telephone number.
• Copy of Cedula, birth certificate or passport.
• Two passport pictures.
• Fee: US$64.00.
• Prepaid self-addressed envelope to return document.
• If the passport was lost, fill out the Report of Lost Passport Form. If not applying in person, this form must be notarized and authenticated by a Panamanian Consulate for a $30.00 fee.
